When
John Dinella returned from World War II in 1947,
he decided to start a taxi service. Before the war,
John played on the Collingswood football team in
what is still called the Colonial Conference and
so he called the company Colonial taxi.
John and his wife have long since retired to their
seaside home in Stone Harbor, NJ, but Colonial Transport
is still family owned and operated. When Joseph
and William Convery bought the company in 1991 they
expanded the package delivery division and also
added airport shuttle services. Today their sons
John and Bill are beginning to expand nationwide. |
